The BISP Tennis Academy athletes took part in some of the region and  world’s most competitive tennis tournaments this summer. The dedication and hard work these high-performance athletes put in, training 19 hours a week under the guidance of Coach Gill and Coach Victor, truly paid off. Their performances not only showcased their individual talents but also highlighted the excellence of our BISP Tennis academy.

Puthi and Pine had particularly stellar seasons. Puthi clinched the singles title in the under-18 category at the ITF Juniors World Tennis Tour J30 (5-10 August 2024). Not stopping there, he went on to secure the runner-up position in the boys’ doubles under-18 category. Meanwhile, Pine captured the singles championship in the under-18 category at the ITF Juniors World Tennis Tour J30 (12-17 August 2024). Earlier in the year, Pine also won the boys’ doubles title in Macau, a victory that garnered significant media attention and further established him as a rising star.

Jinnipa’s summer was marked by a series of strong performances across several tournaments. She finished as the runner-up at the PTT-4 (Northeast) on 1-2 June, and again at the SINGHA Grand Slam Experience Season 8 at Greta Sport Club Pattaya (30 June – 2 July). She claimed victory at the PTT (Central) tournament on 8 July, and later won the women’s singles while also being the doubles runner-up at the LTAT Asian 14 & Under C2 (20-27 July). Her journey in the ITF J30 tournaments saw her reaching the final 8 at W1 (3-10 August) and advancing through challenging matches in W2 (12-17 August).

Leia also gained valuable experience over the summer, participating in several ITF tournaments. She competed in the J60 Bangkok events in June, reaching the R32 in both singles and doubles. In July, she advanced to the R16 in singles at the J30 Hong Kong (2-6 July). By August, Leia was pushing through to the R64 and R16 in the J30 Bangkok and J30 Singapore tournaments.

IG, too, had a busy summer, competing across Southeast Asia. In the J60 Nonthaburi tournaments, IG reached the semifinals in singles and was a finalist in doubles. She also advanced to the quarterfinals in doubles at the Ipoh, Malaysia tournament, proving her consistency and skill on the court.

Pao, facing tough international competition, displayed resilience throughout the summer. He reached the R32 in multiple J60 tournaments in Bangkok, Jakarta, and Ipoh, and made it to the qualifying rounds in China, finishing 7th overall.

Vittoria made her mark by battling through tough matches in Italy, reaching the semifinals in a competitive tournament. Her performance this summer highlighted her determination and growth as a player.

  • Puthi: ITF Juniors World Tennis Tour J30 singles champion (5-10 August 2024); Boys’ doubles runner-up in the same tournament.
  • Pine: ITF Juniors World Tennis Tour J30 singles champion (12-17 August 2024); Boys’ doubles champion in Macau.

  • Leia: Reached R32 in J60 Bangkok tournaments; R16 in singles at J30 Hong Kong; R64 and R16 in J30 Bangkok and Singapore.
  • IG: Semifinals in singles and finalist in doubles at J60 Nonthaburi; Quarterfinals in doubles at Ipoh, Malaysia.
  • Pao: Reached R32 in multiple J60 tournaments; 7th place overall in China qualifying rounds.
  • Vittoria: Semifinals in Italy tournament.
