From May 9th to 12th, eight students from Year 5 and 6 at BISP travelled to Bangkok and participated in this year’s Primary FOBISIA Maths Competition held at the Singapore International School. This was the second consecutive year that BISP has taken part in this competition.
The BISP team, consisting of Marco, AP, Jensen, Tara, Liza, Daji, Tete, and Elsa, was accompanied by Mr. Lord and Mrs. McCarthy. The students competed in four rounds: a Maths Mastermind Round, a Problem Solving Round, a 90-minute Individual test, and a Maths Amazing Race.
Throughout the competition, the BISP students demonstrated the school’s core values of Respect, Compassion, and Integrity. They competed well as a team and always gave their best. Tete was awarded a bronze medal at the prize giving for his excellent result in the individual round.
The competition was attended by schools from across Asia, providing the BISP students with valuable opportunities to socialise with their peers and make new friends. The final dinner event featured a talent show, adding to the overall sense of celebration. The students had a great time, sharing laughs and celebrating their accomplishments. It was a great way to end the competition and look forward to future challenges.
