BISP Soccer 11s 2025

Introduction

The first edition of the BISP Soccer 11s is finally here and will take place from Friday 31st January to Sunday 2nd February 2025. Our goal is to bring together quality teams in the region to play an 11-a-side tournament over 3 days at BISP and we hope to grow the event each year. We aim for every player, coach, and parent to be an ambassador for the sport, and we expect everyone to play with respect and sportsmanship across all teams, regardless of their winning or losing record.

Daily Schedule

Dear Soccer 11 teams,

FRIDAY 31st JANUARY 2025

13:00 – Coach meeting and Campus Tour – AD office

13:30 – Teams arrive for the first game (warm-up)

14:30 – First games commence

16:45 – Last games commence (Finish 6 pm)

17:0018:30 – Dinner served in the refectory for those teams who have pre-booked and those staying on campus 

 

SATURDAY 1st FEBRUARY 2025

07:0007:30 – Teams arrive (warm-up)

08:00 – The first games of the day commence

10:0010:30 – Fruit snacks for players & coaches available (Refectory Foyer)

11:3014:00 – Lunch (Refectory) for players & coaches (staggered as per coupons and game times)

16:45 – Last games commence (Finish 6 pm)

17:0018:30 – Dinner served in the refectory for those teams who have pre-booked and those staying on campus 

 

SUNDAY 2nd FEBRUARY 2025

07:0007:30 – Teams arrive (warm-up)

08:00 – The first games of the day commence

10:30 – Last games commence (Finish 11:45 am)

12:00 – Medal ceremony (Sports Hall)

12:2014:00 Lunch (Refectory) for all players & coaches

Standard 11 a-side Football rules will apply IFAB Rules

Exceptions/Additions

  • Games are 60 minutes (2×30-minute halves) with a 5-minute break for half-time
  • 3 yellow cards carry a 1 game suspension
  • 1 red card carries a 1 game suspension – serious incidents of foul play will be reviewed and sanctioned accordingly.
  • Unlimited substitutions are permitted (Roll on/off)

6-team league system – No groups or playoff.

In the event of a points tie, after all games are complete, the placings are decided in the following order

  1. Head-to-head record
  2. Goal difference
  3. Goals for
  4. Goals against
  5. Penalty shootout

Girls

4 team group system played on Friday and Saturday

3rd/4th playoff between teams finishing 3rd and 4th in the group (Sunday)

1st/2nd playoff between teams finishing 1st and second in the group (Sunday)

Additional information

  • 3 qualified officials for all games
  • Teams will have 5-10 minutes on the pitch to warm up before games but should utilise the covered pitch, bottom pitches and surrounding areas to start earlier warm-ups.
  • Teams will be provided with a bag of 5 footballs and a set of bibs for warm-up/practice to be returned at the end of the tournament 
  • Cool rooms will be provided for rest between games on Saturday and Sunday
  • Teams are free to come and go between games (There will be a minimum rest period of 2 hrs 30 mins) 
  • Trophies for the winning teams and medals for teams finishing 1st, 2nd and 3rd
  • There will be a small food stand for parents and players to purchase snacks and drinks
  • Coaches meeting at 1 pm on Friday 31st January in the Athletics Directors office (Sports hall) – Each team is required to send one representative from each entered team.
