We are excited to announce that BISP will be rejoining and competing in the upcoming FOBISIA Under 10 and 11 Primary Games scheduled for Term 3 in May 2025. Our years 5 and 6 students will have the opportunity to showcase their talents in football, swimming, athletics and teeball.
What are the Primary Games?
The Primary Games are 3 fun-filled days of friendly competition designed to celebrate teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy activity for our under-11 students. Students will be representing BISP and competing as a team in the yellow group. Students will be expected to participate in the four selected sports.
When and Where?
The games will be held at Pattana Sports Complex with the tournament being held over Wednesday 28th, Thursday 29th and Friday 30th May with travel time on either side. Parents are welcome to join as spectators and support the team. 40 Students, including 20 boys and 20 girls, will be selected from years 5 and 6.
In preparation, we will be running an ‘open’ FOBISIA club beginning in term 1 2024, focusing on athletics and teeball on Mondays. Due to the range of opportunities we currently offer in both swimming and football, we would encourage interested students to be involved in one or both. Look out for more information during the activity sign-up process in August.
What to Expect:
- A range of age-appropriate sports designed to be fun, inclusive and competitive.
- Fantastic opportunities for students to develop teamwork and communication skills.
- A chance for friendly competition and a positive sporting spirit.
- Opportunities to compete in team sports and individual activities that both contribute to the team competition.
- Awards ceremony and disco to celebrate participation and outstanding sportsmanship.
What next?
- Mark your calendars!
- Be ready for more parent information in Week 1 of next academic year, August 2024.
