This term our Primary School students were given the opportunity to explore our paradise island and experience a variety of activities and adventures during their annual residential trips.
Our residential itineraries this year included boat trips to nearby islands, snorkelling, kayaking tours, waterfall hikes, ziplining through the jungle, water park activities, mangrove planting, and learning about sustainable practices and elephant rehabilitation.
Many children sketched panoramic views from Kao Khad viewpoint, visited Aquaria, and developed their teamwork and self-confidence through their participation in team-building games, talent shows and other fun activities. All students in Years 3 to 6 had one night or more away from home – and for some, it was their first overnight stay away from their families.
The students’ curiosity and adventurous spirits were ignited, and many children came back from their trips with a greater sense of independence and having formed stronger connections with their classmates, teachers, the environment, and the animals we share the world with.
