Year 11 and Year 12 Physics students at BISP recently put their knowledge to the test in two challenging competitions, earning impressive results.

BISP Year 11 students from the Separate Sciences course took part in the Intermediate Physics Olympiad, an online competition that required them to apply their Physics and Mathematics skills to a mix of familiar and unfamiliar problems. Their hard work paid off, with 17 students earning Gold, 14 Silver, and 5 Bronze.

BISP Year 12 students participated in the BPhO Senior Online Competition, a multiple-choice challenge designed to test problem-solving and the application of Physics concepts. Every student who took part received an award, with six achieving the highest distinction, Gold.

These results reflect the students’ strong understanding of Physics and the students’ ability to apply their knowledge in new and complex situations. Competitions like these challenge students to think critically and solve problems under pressure, reinforcing what they have learned in the classroom with the support of their teachers. Beyond the awards, the experience helps build confidence and prepares them for future academic challenges.
