Congratulations to International Baccalaureate Diploma candidate and high-performance student-athlete, Aryan, who is heading to the sunshine state after being recruited to the Gators swim team at the University of Florida. UF is currently ranked third in Division I of the NCAA.
Aryan is a role model in every sense of the word. A long-distance freestyler, he joined BISP’s Swim Academy from India in 2017 and over four years, has barely missed a training session. His coach describes him as a leader within the Academy with an innate focus and determination and believes that in the competitive environment of a Division 1 College, Aryan is well placed for Commonwealth and Olympic Games selection in 2022 and 2024.
Aryan’s diligence in his academic studies is all the more impressive given that he trains in the pool for two hours before the first lesson of the school day. He plans to study Economics in Florida and was one of the strongest Economics students in his BISP cohort in regards to conceptual understanding. Aryan has been giving of his time to mentor and support younger students and has used his voice to make positive changes for the student body to enhance their experience at BISP. As the Charity Coordinator in the Student Events Team, he got behind BISP’s Food for All campaign, helping to pack and distribute food bags to people most affected by the pandemic.
BISP would like to thank Aryan for his contribution to our school and wish him all the best for every step of his journey.
