On Wednesday, 5th February, Year 1 and Year 2 students gathered on the top football pitch for the annual KS1 Sports Day. The morning was filled with excitement and friendly competition as students participated in a variety of running, jumping, and throwing activities designed to develop their athletic skills and encourage teamwork and sportsmanship.
Students rotated through specially designed activity stations, balancing competitive events with inclusive, skill-building challenges. Among the most popular events were Leaping Logs and D-Sprint, where students put their speed and agility to the test, producing some thrilling performances and close finishes.
To conclude the event, the much-anticipated Parent’s Race saw enthusiastic parents take to the track for a fun 50m dash, cheered on by the students.
Throughout the morning, students earned house points for their performances in competitive events. The final standings were:
1st Place – Red Tigers
2nd Place – Yellow Leopards
3rd Place – Green Cobras
4th Place – Blue Sharks
The event was a wonderful display of determination, teamwork, and enthusiasm. A huge congratulations to all the students for their fantastic effort and a big thank you to the BISP PE team for organising such a fantastic event.
We look forward to seeing these young athletes continue to develop their skills as they move into KS2 and beyond!
