On Friday 19th May, acclaimed children’s author Andrew Clover paid a visit to the BISP Primary School library. This caused much excitement and students from Years 3 to 6 enjoyed spending a session with him. During this time Andrew shared his Seven Secrets of Storytelling and showed the children how important it is to have fun with writing and to let their imaginations run wild! Students were also able to order signed copies from his brilliant series ‘Rory Branagan Detective’.
Andrew Clover is a Perrier-nominated comic, actor and writer, who once wrote a column Dad Rules, which was on the back page of the Sunday Times Style magazine. He also starred as Gary in CBBC’s My Almost Famous Family. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to host Andrew Clover at BISP and thank him for his inspiring visit that further promotes our students to develop a love for reading for pleasure. Our visitors and guest speaker programme features author visits such as this, which inspire learning at BISP through expert perspectives from around the world.
