The 2023 BISP Beach Games saw over 120 participants gather for two days of fun in the sun at the beautiful Xana Beach Club at Angsana, Laguna Phuket on Bangtao Beach.  

Day 1 of the action saw all the swimming races and half of the football games.  Members of the BISP community tackled the waves in the Open Water Swimming races ranging from 200 metres – 900 metres.  BISP parents got the games started and showed the students how it’s done with their parent race to kick off the day.  Over the course of the next few hours the students had their turn waking on the waves.  While the swimming was taking place,  4 football teams playing in 4 different divisions got their chance to compete while having a lot of fun.  

Day 2 was all football on the sand; this beautiful game was full of action.  By this round the students had adapted their style of play to fit this unique playing surface.  As with all great football tournaments this one ended with a penalty shootout that closed the fun packed weekend on the beach for BISP’s athletes. 

Many thanks to Angsana and Xana Beach Club for hosting this event and for providing the great food, and an amazing location which was only made better by the nice weather. We look forward to seeing everyone next year at this special BISP annual event.
