On Friday, 31st January, Nursery and Reception students enjoyed an exciting morning of challenge and fun at the BISP Early Years Sports Day. This event, the first of four BISP Sports Days, was organised by the PE Department to help children develop their fundamental movement skills in a playful and engaging environment.

The children took part in a carousel of four activities, each designed to reinforce skills they have been practising in PE lessons. With a focus on running, jumping, and throwing, the activities provided an essential foundation for their future athletic development as they progress into Key Stage 1.

With enthusiasm and determination, the young athletes took on:

  • U-Turn Sprint – Enhancing speed and agility
  • Jack in the Box – A fun jumping challenge
  • Motorbike Jumps – Developing coordination and balance
  • Target Throw & King of the Castle – Improving throwing accuracy and control

Throughout the morning, students demonstrated confidence, teamwork, and enthusiasm, supported by the cheers of parents and teachers. The event not only celebrated their physical development but also encouraged a lifelong love for movement and participation.

A huge thank you to the BISP PE team for organising such a fantastic event and to our supportive parents for cheering on our young sporting stars. We look forward to seeing these skills continue to grow in the years ahead!
