BISP Key Stage 3 Middle School students started the year 2023/24 with the focus that “relationships matter.” During their curriculum time with teachers, extracurricular activities, camps, wellbeing days and other time spent together, this has continued to be an important message for middle school students, staff and parents alike.
This academic year in Middle School has been one of growth and opportunity. Students have had the chance to try out new activities and discover and share new ideas. They have supported each other through some challenging and at times fun firsts – the first end of year assessments for year 7, the first Secondary school wide wellbeing days, the first year some of our amazing tutor team have worked with Middle School. The BISP middle school students have also had some significant lasts – for example the last year of middle school for our year 9 students before we wish them well on their journey through the IGCSE years at BISP. Whether it’s firsts or lasts, or something in between there’s been an action packed year of learning and activities that have supported student growth from the first day of Term 1 to the last day of Term 3.
We have seen students shine academically, in their pursuit of the arts and sports, and in their interpersonal relationships with the care they have shown to others. Our BISP middle school student leaders have combined their skills to champion new ideas – such as the friendship table and other initiatives to help support their peers to have the best possible experience of school.
Throughout the academic year, BISP Middle school have reached out to our community to provide support to iconic Phuket based organisations, helped deliver some awesome events for the wider community, such as International Day and Golden (s)Mile and challenged themselves to be their best selves in the process.
It’s been truly a wonderful year and we can’t wait to see you all again for more in the 2024/25 academic year!
