Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Year 12 and 13 BTEC Sport students at BISP took part in a hands-on First Aid Course, gaining essential life-saving skills through practical training. This enriching experience provided them with valuable knowledge and confidence to respond effectively in emergency situations.

The course included a certification in CPR with AED use, covering scenarios like choking, as well as a hands-on workshop in secondary care, which focused on injury and illness assessments, managing severe bleeding, and bandaging techniques.

Upon completion, students will receive a two-year certification as internationally recognised Emergency First Responders, along with a certification card to keep in their wallet or purse. Additionally, they will be presented with a certificate documenting their qualifications and successful participation in the secondary care workshop.

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated a professional approach, fully engaging in the material to deepen their understanding of emergency response protocols. Their enthusiasm and commitment reflect their dedication to learning and will be invaluable as they progress through their BTEC Sports Injuries Management unit.

This course not only enhances their practical skills but also prepares them to handle real-world emergencies confidently. Well done to all involved for their hard work and determination!

A big thank you to Lisa and the team from First Aid Training Phuket.
