Loy Krathong Celebration is one of the most enchanting events on the Thai calendar. On Thursday, November 23, 2023, the BISP community came together to commemorate this traditional Thai festival. Loy Krathong is a time for expressing gratitude for water and sending wishes for happiness and prosperity.

The BISP community gathered at the school campus to engage in various Loy Krathong activities. Students and staff crafted their own krathongs using materials such as flowers, leaves, incense and candles. Once ready, the krathongs were symbolically and carefully launched into the school fountain, carrying the wishes of everyone who created them.

In addition to krathong making, the day featured several other activities and performances. Students enjoyed traditional Thai music and dance, along with delectable Thai desserts.

The highlight was the Loy Krathong assemblies showcasing the musical and dramatic talents of the students. The performances recounted the rich history of traditional Thai customs and cultures related to Loy Krathong.
