After a string of recent successes at tournaments endorsed by the R&A (World Governing body for Word Rankings), Year 8 BISP student Namo has accumulated enough points to establish an official World Amateur Golf Ranking of 3,144.
“Achieving an official ranking at 12-years-old is a great achievement for Namo and I’m certain she will continue her rise up the world rankings,” said BISP Sea Eagles Golf Academy Head Coach, Oliver Bates. “She has proved herself as one of the top players in Thailand and continues to impress us at BISP with her attitude and commitment to both sports and academics. Congratulations and well done, Namo.”
Namo, along with BISP golfers Louise, Linux and I.T will line up at the TGA Singha Junior Golf Ranking tournament at Laguna Golf Course this weekend. The event is drawing players from all over Thailand. There are also Asian Tour events with million-dollar prize funds coming up next month in Phuket, which will give our BISP players the opportunity to watch some of the best players in Asia.
