On September 2nd and 3rd, BISP Art Teacher and Art for Service after-school activity leader Mrs. Coulson embarked on a heartwarming mission that brought smiles to both volunteers and furry residents at the Phuket Stray Dog Shelter. With a heart full of compassion and determination, Mrs. Coulson purchased a whopping 15 flats of canned dog food using funds raised by the Art for Service club. However, it wasn’t a straightforward shopping trip; she had to visit two different SuperCheap stores to gather enough supplies for the shelter’s beloved dogs. Not even the wet and rainy weather could deter her from spreading kindness to these four-legged friends in need.
The Phuket Stray Dog Shelter relies heavily on donations to care for its canine residents, and these 15 flats of canned dog food will undoubtedly go a long way in providing nourishment and happiness to the shelter’s furry inhabitants over the coming months. The impact of this donation is immeasurable and is a testament to the incredible sense of community and support that thrives in the BISP community.
Last school year, through the Art for Service events, the BISP community rallied together to raise an impressive 22,000 Baht in support of the Phuket Stray Dog Shelter. These funds have been instrumental in supporting the welfare of the shelter’s dogs with donations such as this one and as there is still money left over the Art for Service club is planning to use these remaining funds to purchase even more flats of canned dog food later this term. Their goal is to continue keeping the shelter’s canine residents happy and healthy.
So, if you’re wondering how you can get involved and support the Art for Service efforts in the coming school year, stay tuned. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those who depend on our support, one act of compassion at a time.
