On Friday 21st March, 34 BISP athletes competed in the annual PISAC Athletics event, this year hosted by HeadStart International School.
With strong team spirit and plenty of energy, our U9 and U11 competitors arrived eager to give their best. The track events followed a set schedule while field events ran throughout the afternoon. Our students showed great maturity and readiness as they moved between events, ensuring they were in the right place at the right time and giving their all in every competition.
BISP excelled across the board, finishing first overall by a margin of 15 points ahead of UWC Thailand. Out of the ten listed events, BISP secured top points in five—a strong reflection of the effort and preparation our students put in.
The 400m was our standout event, with BISP athletes winning six out of twelve races—a testament to the strength and fitness developed through our swimming, football, and tennis programmes.
Several students stood out for their exceptional performances, placing in three or more events or earning multiple first-place finishes. These athletes include:
Jakkrin, Ben, Jake, Kirill, Arsenii, Jaime, Miranda, Vanessa (who placed in all five individual events), Ekaterina, Sascha, Elsa (who won four of her events), and Laney, who set a new U11 Girls PISAC Javelin record with a throw of 15.67m.
Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches for their hard work, determination, and team spirit—it was a fantastic day of competition and a proud moment for the BISP athletics programme.
