Last year, members of the BISP community showcased their exceptional swimming talent at two major events: the Oceanman Swim Marathon at Karon Beach and the Aqua Panthers Invitational Competition. From staff and students to masters swimmers, our athletes delivered outstanding performances, bringing pride to the school.

Oceanman Swim Marathon

Staff Leading the Way
BISP’s Aquatics Director, Charles, and Year 2 teacher, Eleri, took on the gruelling 10km Oceanman Swim. Both delivered remarkable results, with Charles finishing 4th overall in the men’s category and Eleri securing 5th overall in the women’s category. Additionally, they both achieved 2nd place finishes in their respective age groups, demonstrating skill and determination.

Students Shining in the Ocean Kids Event
Our young swimmers made waves in the 500m Ocean Kids Swim:

• Maksim secured 1st place in the 9 & Under boys’ category.
• Elisei earned 2nd place in the 11 & Under boys’ category.
• Youyou achieved an impressive 8th place in the 11 & Under boys’ category.

Masters and Community Swimmers
Several members of the BISP community and Masters Swimming group participated in the longer-distance swims:

• Dennis, Yury, and Dmitri completed the challenging 5km race.
• In the 2km Oceanman Swim, strong performances were delivered by Max, who placed 10th in the Men’s 30–39 age group, alongside Rungkarn, Anna, Teng, Natlya, Fei, and Boris.

Aqua Panthers Invitational Competition

Record-Breaking Performances
The Aqua Panthers Invitational saw incredible achievements, including new BISP records:

• Josephine: 100 Backstroke – 1:10.91
• Ali: 50 Freestyle – 32.71, 100 Freestyle – 1:12.33, 200 Freestyle – 2:41.54, 50 Breaststroke – 43.84 and 100 Butterfly – 1:26.86.

BISP secured 2nd place overall, an impressive achievement despite the absence of swimmers from some 13–14 age groups and all 15 & Over categories.

Ali earned 3rd place individual high points for girls aged 9–10.

A total of 59 swimmers participated in the meet.
