This year, BISP Year 11 student Anchalee took home first place in the category: Original short story 18 years and under (800-1,000 words) – All schools in the Neilson Hays Young Writers Awards competition hosted by the Neilson Hays Library, a building in Bangkok of historic and architectural significance. The annual competition invites contestants aged 10 – 18 from all over Thailand to submit their creative work.
In March, she attended a workshop for semi-finalists, which was in itself quite an achievement. In the final round this June, she won for her short story, “The Flight”. Her story underwent several revisions and is worth celebrating. Congratulations Anchalee!
