This year BISP is celebrating the fantastic results of its students in the UK Senior Mathematics Challenge. BISP students received a total of 11 certificates in the competition run by the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT).
This challenge is designed for only the top mathematics students and is taken by schools worldwide. Students have to apply the mathematics they have learned in the classroom to solve a variety of problem-solving puzzles. Earning a UKMT certificate is an impressive achievement as the challenge requires a lot of hard work and dedication.
Mr Chambers, BISP Head of Mathematics said,
“Well done to all students who took part, another set of fantastic results!”
In Year 12, Kathryn, Deepika and Chinathip all achieved Silver. In Year 13, Chanmin was awarded Silver and Rithwick gained a Gold certificate.
Additionally, Rithwick’s score then enabled him to compete in the UKMT Olympiad paper. This paper is 3 hours long with only six questions! Rithwick did exceptionally well on this paper as well and received a Merit.
Congratulations to all the students who received certificates in the UK Senior Mathematics Challenge. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we hope that your success inspires more students to participate in similar competitions as we continue to share our love of learning at BISP.
