On Sunday, January 19th, 2025, two teams of BISP students from Years 10 to 12 participated in the VEX V5 Thailand Nationals hosted by the Panyapiwat Institute of Management in Bangkok.
Team Roboto (Aurele & Jamie): Achieved 11th place after the qualifying rounds. They faced a tough challenge in the elimination rounds, ultimately losing to the eventual tournament champions.
Team Bispy (Daniel, David, Siss, & Mav): Demonstrated exceptional performance throughout the competition, winning several matches. This is a remarkable achievement considering the limited time they had to build and prepare their competition robot.
All students involved, including those who did not travel to Bangkok, dedicated countless hours during break times, weekends, and extracurricular activities to design, build, and test their robots. Special recognition goes to Luna for their significant contributions despite not competing in the tournament.
This competition provided a valuable learning experience for all participants, fostering teamwork, problem-solving, and engineering skills. If you are interested in this exciting competition, students can join the VEX ECA and build their entry into next year’s competition.
