From November 25th to 29th, the BISP secondary students embarked on their much-anticipated Residential Trips Week. This exciting event brought students out of the classroom and into diverse environments, offering opportunities for team building, environmental engagement, and hands-on learning. Here’s a recap of the week’s highlights for each year group:
Key Stage 3 (Years 7, 8, and 9)
Students in Years 7, 8, and 9 participated in trips designed to build teamwork and explore history and the environment. Activities ranged from beach clean-ups and fieldwork studies to learning about the historic Hellfire Pass in Kanchanaburi. These experiences allowed students to strengthen bonds within their year groups and connect with their teachers in a unique, immersive setting.
Year 12 CAS-Focused Trips
Year 12 students engaged in three distinct trips aligned with the Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) components of the IB program:
- Kanchanaburi: Students participated in environmental projects and supported elephant conservation efforts, gaining valuable insights into wildlife preservation.
- Krabi: The focus was on mindfulness and connecting with local ecosystems, providing students a chance to reflect on the natural world.
- Kapong: This group dedicated their time to working with local children, fostering community engagement in a meaningful residential setting.
Year 10 International Award Expeditions
Year 10 students took part in their International Award practice and qualifying expeditions, demonstrating resilience and teamwork:
