On Sunday, 20 October 2024, BISP students had the unique opportunity to participate in a medical workshop hosted by St. George’s University – School of Medicine. Held at the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket Town, the workshop provided students with essential training in First Aid and AED (Automated External Defibrillator) techniques. The workshop was facilitated by an Emergency Medical Technician, offering hands-on experience and practical knowledge in emergency response.
First Aid and CPR are crucial skills for aspiring doctors, as they can make the difference between life and death in critical situations. Participants learned how to handle emergencies effectively, gaining confidence in life-saving practices that are essential for anyone pursuing a career in medicine.
The event was a valuable experience, especially since it took place during the school break, showing the dedication of the participating students. Each student who completed the workshop received a certificate of participation, adding to their academic achievements and personal development.
We are proud of the students who attended and thank St. George’s University for offering this fantastic learning opportunity. Experiences like these not only equip students with valuable skills but also inspire them to explore future careers in healthcare.
