After a successful tournament last year, the House Colour Team Chess Competition has returned! The competition which was held from Monday 7th March to Friday 11th March was open to players of any ability and experience level and from all year groups.
Games were played during lunchtime and the tournament was a classic knockout with the winner of each game progressing to the next round.
The 2022 House Colour Team Chess Competition was a fantastic success, with more than thirty matches played over three weeks between students in all year groups. The competition was fierce and the stakes were high but in the end, Red Tigers were clearly the chessboard champions, winning both first and second place.
In first place, the king of busting bishops and rocking rooks was Garri Citrons of Year 9! Coming in second place was Year 12 Kantapong Charoendamrongsapy! Congratulations to all participants and competitors involved!
