Towards the end of May, our traditional BISP curriculum swimming galas took place for all students from Nursery to Year 9. 

The 25m pool was transformed into a jungle for the week, as our Early Years and KS1 students travelled around six themed river activities that tested and challenged six different aquatic skills. For KS2 a more traditional format took place, with all students demonstrating their stroke development in a range of 25m or 50m races, with some fantastic results. Our KS3 students participated in a morning of fun, games and races as they took part in a variety of skill-based activities, water polo tournaments and super sprint relays.

The swimming galas not only showcased the students’ swimming skills but also fostered a sense of community and sportsmanship among them. It was a week filled with excitement, teamwork, and memorable moments, reinforcing the importance of physical activity and the joy of participating in school events.
